Eye Health

Learning about your eye health can be complicated - and might even seem overwhelming at first. To simplify things for our patients, we've created our Eye Health Library, a comprehensive library of vision-related information. We invite you to browse through our library to find information that will help you better understand how your vision works, common eye conditions, surgeries and how your vision changes as you age.

To All Our Dear Patients at Optomedica Eye,

We would like to let you know by this means that Optomedica Eye Consultants will be closed in compliance with the American Optometric Association advisory and the Harris County directives to "stay home". We hope to be able to return to work by April 6, 2020.

As always, we remain committed to bringing to each one of you the best possible care. We have contacted two of our referring physician offices who will be taking care of our emergency patients for us. These two offices will be evaluating cases and have agreed to treat only true emergencies.

In case you have a true emergency, please call:

The Eye Center of Texas: (713) 797-1010

Greater Houston Eye Consultants: (281) 477-7077

We have tried to keep our office open as long as possible for you, our patients, to be able to answer to your needs the best way we are able. These past few days, when things have been so difficult for everyone, especially for all those who are facing this virus in healthcare facilities or in the streets trying to protect us, have helped us reflect on the way we can best serve our family at Optomedica Eye, and it is by keeping everyone safe at home. Life is precious and it is worth protecting it.

Please stay safe and healthy. Wash your hands with soap and water often. Protect loved ones and keep smiling, we will get through this!

We will keep you updated. We will see you all, soon. God's willing.

Warm regards,

Dr. Lorena E. Castaneda
